Part A: See Ch 5 Sheet 19. The problem here is, as in the notes, for zero banking angle and only friction supplying the centripetal force.
Part B: See Ch 5 Sheet 17. The problem here is, as in the notes, with no friction and only the horizontal component of the Normal Force, exerted by the road on the car, supplying the centripetal force.

Is anyone else having problems with this question? I have tried it from every angle - using both the book and lecture slides. Any advice?

I'm getting this for part B, and I'm not understanding WHY. The notes themselves (Ch5 - 18) show the equation at the bottom to solve for mu. I had that all just fine, plug in my velocity, radius and g, and it's telling me no.
What's the problem?
use the equation mu = (v^2)/rg
Just a tip, make sure you convert km/hr to m/s if you keep having problems with inputting your answers. I can't believe I made this mistake and kept doing the right thing.
