Use equation 8.10. Make sure to use the perpendicular distance between force and pivot.

I used the equation T=Frsin(theta) but when I plug in my r value (in m) and use that equation to solve for F, it tells me that's the wrong equation. What am I doing wrong?
theta=30
r=35cm=0.035m
torque=-17 Nm

I solved and got -971.43 but it says it's wrong.

You have to use cosine not sine in this one.

and convert whats needed.

Please understand why it's cosine. Use soh-cah-toa and figure out which side of the triangle gives the perpendicular force
