How do I type in Sin or Cos for my answer. I don't see an option on the toolbar and when I type in "Sin" it doesn't accept the answer.

You just type in sin or cos. I am pretty sure that you are supposed to use lowercase s in sin. Make sure you add parentheses around the theta.

Thanks, it worked! Typing the sin and cos in lower case letters changed it into a trig. function.

i have the two equations but i can't figure out how to get rid of the T2 before i solve for the T1. Can someone help?

Type up what you have because I can't help you if I don't know what you are doing wrong.

how do i write theta 1 and 2?

Above the box where you type in your answer, there are 3 boxes you can click on. If you hover your mouse over them, it tells you what it is. You want the lowercase characters (middle box) for theta. Click on theta to insert it into the text box. Notice you need to write the 1 and 2 as subscripts. Click the templates box (1st box) and look for the subscript options. After that, anything you type will be a subscript.

I got T1= (T_2cos(thetha_2)/(T_1cos(thetha_1) all * T2 what did I do wrong

isnt the question asking you to find T1 without using T2? So in response to your equation, that would be wrong.

alright. So how do you solve it without using T2???
